For the second straight night, the 34th Annual Extreme Powered by Mediacom 360 Knoxville Nationals was led from start to finish by one driver. Friday night Sam Hafertepe Jr. started up front and led all 20 laps to capture the A-Main. But unlike Thursday when Kaleb Johnson went mostly unchallenged, Hafertepe had several challenges but fended off Brian Brown and Cory Eliason to get the win. Hafertepe said in victory lane he had to go on the defensive several times.

Hafertepe: “I saw a nose we’d move. You watch how these guys run this place all year and mimic some of the block moves. I felt like we could put together three good laps then three more bad ones.”
